The Hobbit release season
The Hobbit Draft
Five armies, one long road to the Lonely Mountain.
Four new challenges every day
Pick one of today’s four Magic: The Gathering draft formats. Everyone starts with the same packs. Draft against the bots, build a forty-card deck, then see how it does when Forge’s game-engine AI plays the matches.
Free to draft and build. Running your deck requires a free account with a recovery email. Guest picks stay accessible in this browser; sign in here to attach them to your account before switching devices.
One run per challenge. Picks are final. You can pause and resume, and change your build before submission. A submitted deck is locked.
Entries close at 00:00 UTC. Existing entrants have one more hour to submit and complete at least 3 benchmark matchups with successful games to qualify for the ranking. Leave time for the queue. Finishing later normally remains possible, with an unranked result.

The Hobbit follows Bilbo's journey through a compact Limited environment built around five supported color pairs. Recruit, amass, landfall, and draw-two rewards turn familiar moments from the story into signposts for building a deck.
Read the five major lanes early, then decide whether a highly contested signpost is worth fighting for or whether the open half of the table offers a cleaner route.
Five primary two-color archetypes, including white-blue draw-two Humans and black-red Goblins built around amass and sacrifice.
It is a focused modern draft set: fewer primary archetypes make its lanes legible, while the fight over flexible cards determines how comfortably each drafter reaches the Lonely Mountain.

Open MM3×3 in its published historical order using pinned MTGJSON booster sheets.
The challenge opens the listed products in order from version-pinned weighted booster sheets.
Archetypes and signals follow the named historical card pool rather than a merged block approximation.
This keeps a real release-stage Limited environment available instead of collapsing an era into a made-up block draft.
